Jeff Coury
President

Prior to Mortgage Connect, Mr. Coury served as president of The Coury Financial Group where, via Coury Consulting, he consulted ServiceLink, a national title and closing company from 1997 until 2002. In 2002 he took on the role as Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he tripled the sales of the company and expanded the company’s offerings. He also played an instrumental role in negotiating and coordinating the sale of ServiceLink to Fidelity National Financial in 2005. Mr. Coury stayed on as Division head of Service Link until 2011, during which time he quadrupled the sales and lead the company to become one of the leading settlement service providers in the nation.

Mr. Coury has over a decade of experience in the Title Servicing industry as well as 20 years business acumen that has enabled him to perform successful consulting engagements across countless industries. He is a distinguished client advocate and management executive with unique problem-solving capabilities. Coury earned his B.A. in Business Economics and Finance from Duquesne University.

 

Cristy Ward
Chief Strategy Officer

Ms. Ward has 19 years industry experience working with top ten lenders to develop strategy, product solutions and streamline processes to maximize operational efficiencies and to mitigate risk. She has earned a reputation as a problem-solver who develops innovative, tailored solutions to manage today’s complex problems, including managing capacity, improving quality, keeping abreast of regulatory standards, improving loan transparency and meeting the challenges of shifting to the centralization of vendors for third party oversight.

Prior to Mortgage Connect, Ms. Ward has held key leadership positions with noteworthy companies including Stewart Title. She was the Executive Vice President of Sales at leading Vendor Management Company, where she developed new business models and supporting infrastructure that led her team to triple the company’s new sales volume and played a pivotal role in the company’s sale to an Investment Group in 2011. She has served on numerous industry panels and is an expert in Title Insurance & Closing Models as well as regulatory policies and procedures. Her achievements have been recognized through several awards including the prestigious MBA Doc Jore Award for Excellent Service.

 

Peter Presland-Byrne

Mr. Presland-Byrne serves as Mortgage Connect’s Chief Information Officer and provides leadership and vision for the platforms that enable the business. Prior to joining Mortgage Connect, Peter served as Freddie Mac’s Chief Architect. In this role, he played an instrumental lead in enhancing their architecture program and strengthened their enterprise technology planning capabilities. He also standardized the company’s technology platforms and data pool. Mr. Presland-Byrne was also an executive champion of culture change and innovation initiatives at Freddie Mac.

Prior to Freddie Mac, Mr. Presland-Byrne worked in a number of senior leadership roles within the financial and mortgage industries, including Bank of America and Countrywide Financial. He has over 20 years of experience in delivering agile technology solutions to enable business growth and profitability, with experience in enterprise architecture, software management, technology strategy, and systems modernization and simplification.

He has received industry recognition as a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader, Wall Street Journal Elite 8, and Transformational Leader award. Mr. Presland-Byrne has spoken in both industry and academic venues and resides in the Pittsburgh area.

 

Sheri Yoho
Executive Vice President of Operations

Prior to Mortgage Connect, Ms. Yoho served as the First Vice President of Closing Operations at Fidelity National Financial, ServiceLink Division where she also held several senior management positions. As the Assistant Vice President of Operations, she managed Purchase Closing Operations and Cell Site Departments. She was consequently promoted to Assistant General Counsel with responsibility for risk and compliance matters. Ms. Yoho served in that capacity until taking the position of Vice President of Closing Operations, where she was accountable for Refinance and Purchase Title and Closing Operations inclusive of overall customer satisfaction. She also built the centralized REO Title and Closing Operations teams and managed the overall REO customer satisfaction. She brings over thirteen years in the mortgage and title industry experience.
